The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program 2026–2027, established by the Government of Hungary, offers an exceptional fully funded study opportunity for international students. This prestigious scholarship enables students to pursue full-time or partial studies at leading Hungarian universities across a wide range of academic disciplines. Programs are available in Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-tier Master’s, Doctoral, and Non-degree formats, with most courses offered in English. In addition, selected applicants may receive a one-year Hungarian language preparatory course.

For Doctoral Programs

- Monthly stipend:
- HUF 140,000 (approx. €355) for the first 4 semesters
- HUF 180,000 (approx. €460) for the final 4 semesters
- Accommodation support: Dormitory placement or HUF 40,000/month
- Comprehensive medical coverage including additional insurance up to HUF 65,000/year
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country
- Demonstrate strong academic performance
- Hold the relevant academic qualifications:
- Secondary school certificate (Bachelor’s)
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s)
- Master’s degree (Doctoral)
- Be nominated by the official Sending Partner of their home country
- Provide proof of student status for one-tier and non-degree programs
