ARES Scholarships 2027–2028 in Belgium
The ARES Scholarships 2027–2028 offer international students and professionals from selected developing countries an opportunity to pursue specialised higher education or professional training in Belgium with financial support from the Academy of Research and Higher Education (ARES).

Who Can Apply?
Applicants generally need to:
- Be a national and resident/work in one of ARES’s eligible partner countries.
- Hold the relevant academic qualification required by the selected programme.
- Have at least two years of relevant professional experience after completing the required degree.
- Meet the academic and admission requirements of the selected programme.
- Have an appropriate level of proficiency in the language of instruction.
- Be available for full-time study/training.
- Apply for only one training programme.
The relevant degree must generally have been obtained no more than 20 years before the start of the programme, with certain extensions related to childbirth or adoption.

ARES lists eligible countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America/Caribbean.
- Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zimbabwe.
- South America & Caribbean: Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Peru.
- Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam.
- Asia: Palestine.
