Are you a software engineering student or recent graduate looking to gain international experience in Japan? The HENNGE Global Internship Program (GIP) offers an opportunity to develop practical software engineering skills at HENNGE’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
The program is designed for aspiring engineers who want to strengthen their skills in full-stack development, front-end engineering, cloud computing, and DevOps. Participants work in an English-speaking environment, receive guidance from experienced engineers, and learn through hands-on technical projects.
The internship lasts 4–6 weeks, and Japanese language proficiency is not required. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with places filled as available.
About the HENNGE Global Internship Program
HENNGE is a technology company specializing in cloud-based services and security solutions. Its Global Internship Program provides students and early-career engineers with an opportunity to improve their technical skills through guided projects and mentorship.
The internship is conducted on-site in Tokyo, rather than remotely. Participants collaborate with engineers, receive feedback on their work, and develop their problem-solving and teamwork skills.
The program also forms part of HENNGE’s recruitment pathway, and outstanding participants may have opportunities to pursue full-time employment with the company.
Available Internship Pathways
1. Full-Stack Engineering
This pathway focuses on building complete web applications and understanding how different parts of a software system work together.
Participants may work with:
- Python, Go, and TypeScript
- Back-end APIs and front-end interfaces
- Web application development
- Cloud deployment using AWS
- DevOps practices and infrastructure tools
- Software testing, security, and problem-solving
2. Front-End Engineering
This pathway focuses on developing modern web interfaces and strengthening front-end engineering fundamentals.
Participants may work with:
- TypeScript
- React or Vue
- State management and data fetching
- Responsive web application development
- User interface and user experience principles
- Software testing and DevOps fundamentals
Applicants should review the requirements for their preferred pathway before applying.
