Applications are now open for the HSC Youth Ambassador Program 2026, a prestigious and fully funded opportunity for emerging leaders who are driving sustainability efforts in their local contexts. This program is jointly organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), UNDP, the City of Hamburg, and the Michael Otto Foundation.

The HSC Youth Ambassador Program offers a unique platform to:
- Attend a fully funded conference in Hamburg with no application or participation fee.
- Share your story and present your sustainability initiatives to a global audience.
- Join as a participant or speaker, depending on your experience.
- Connect with international leaders, policymakers, and fellow youth ambassadors.
- Expand your network and amplify your impact through global dialogue and collaboration.
Who Can Apply?
You are eligible if:
- You are between 18–30 years old.
- You are a citizen and resident of a country classified as an Emerging Market and Developing Economy (EMDE).
- You are actively engaged in sustainability-related work, either through grassroots activism, social enterprise, innovation, or advocacy.
What’s Covered?
- Roundtrip travel and accommodation for selected participants.
- Networking with global leaders and institutions.
- Opportunities to present your work, participate in expert sessions, and shape the global sustainability agenda.
How to Apply
- Access the application portal.
- Provide personal details, CV, and a valid passport.
- Detail your sustainability work, its impact, and relevant themes.
- Submit your social media and LinkedIn profiles (if available).
- Specify how you wish to contribute to the conference (speaker or participant).
- Upload any supporting documents and click Submit.
